The Kids up American Fork Canyon Today

Baylee has so much energy. She can bound up a trail in a single jump. It was hard to keep up with her.

There were so many beautiful colors.

Jennica had a blast. She laughed and kept us entertained the whole day.

Jennica is going to pretend to be a bear to scare Baylee.

Baylee thought she could eat the berries (not good).

A strange Fear of Bears

Baylee always talks about Bears. She has an extreme fear of them. Last year Grandpa Taylor had a camp fire going in his back yard. During this campfire he told several scary bear stories - I even think this is right after a boy was killed by a bear up the canyon last year. Anyway, Grandpa lined his friend up to come into the group wearing Grandpa's buffolo hide and pretending to be a bear. Well they were succesful at scaring the pants off of at least one person: Baylee. She has never forgot it and continues to bring it up. We have found you don't tease about bears. Well, she found this sign a little frightening.

Just a little unnerving for her. . . .

David made things a little lighter because kids love to scare and not to be scared.

American Fork Canyon on the Timpanoogie trail

The backdrop is breathtaking don't you think? We drove up the canyon to see the colors but we ended up walking up the timpanoogie trail for quite a ways. Our kids didn't want to stop. The colors were so spectacular.

Baylee and Jennica stayed in the front of the pack. David, Me, and Braxton could hardly keep up with them running higher and higher up the trail.

Isn't pretty? Everyone must take a drive soon.

Legacy Elementary "The Pumpkin Walk"

David with the twins at the entrance.

Mrs. Stone's 2nd grade class. The theme was everone can be a good sport. It was really cute. They had pictures of the kids heads with a jersey on their pumpkins. An added bonus was that it was a very easy display to do. Nice for Mom and Dad. Last year we spent an evening making a penguin that we were so proud of - but, when we got to the display I think ours was one of the sorriest looking pumpkins there. We felt better about this one.

What a classy idea. The black and Red pumpkins really popped.

I loved the Yoda pumpkin. It was probably my favorite.

This was just out of this world.

Jacket weather? Not yet. . . . .

Last Saturday was rainy and cold. We got out the jackets, the long sleeve shirts, long pants, etc. . . . .all for naught. This week. . . . put all the warm clothes away and yank out the summer things. That's whats crazy about this time of year - you just never know. But, I'm not complaining about our 81 degrees today thats for sure.

Some of Braxton's funny faces and things he does

I just get a kick out of his poses!

I just love this look.

Braxton has the most contageous laugh.

Braxon was wondering how his sister's wear these things.

His own dress ups so he doesn't have to borrow Jennica's anymore.

KITTIES AGAIN!!!

I know, I know go get those cats fixed. If they would just not be pregnant so fast I would. Did you know a Momma cat can get pregnant even while nursing a new litter? I do now. Oh well, this is an especially cute group of kitties. We got four siamese this time. Our siamese have a little tabby (tabby - means tiger stripes) thing going on which I think is really cute. Our kids love having kitties (we just wish we could limit it to once a year). If anyone wants one of these babies let us know because they are going on KSL soon. Usually all of the kitties find homes within 48 hours of me putting them on KSL.

The Van

Cascade Collission jus emailed these to me today. Last week they told me my van would be done on Friday. Today, they informed me the hood that just came in had a wrinkle in it and they had to send it back. Therefore, no vehicle until next Wedensday. Ouch. It will almost be one month without a vehicle. I know I should be thankful that we didn't have any injuries which I am - but, but, but, yuck I really want my wheels back. Oh well, we'll just make do like we have been. It's doable but I can really sympathize with people that share a car now or have no vehicle at all. How spoiled we really are.

Try out our new Taylor family recipe blog!

It's been over a week since I have posted. Wow, once school started I got really busy. . . . . . even though I'm at home more than ever since my car is still in the shop from my little car accident. I've been bumming rides and trying to bribe my sweet neighbors that I carpool with to keep driving. I'm planning on making it up to them as soon as I can. Meanwhile, it's Zucchini season and if you have a garden you have these veggies coming out of your ears. My sister Corianne made a new Taylor Family Recipe blog (link to the side) with lots of zucchini recipe's. I strongly suggest you try the zucchini bread made with 1/2 applesauce than oil. It's sooooo good. Baylee also loves the chocolate zucchini cake - she loves it enough to want it for her birthday this year. I don't have any fun photo's to post since we have done absolutely nothing fun except spelling, preschool, gymnastics, church callings, etc. . . . . . . It does get busy in the fall.

Jennica on her way to dance and gymnastics

Jennica didn't complain when I washed her hair this morning and put it in a pony tail. Very unusual behavior for her. She was just simply excited to go to dance and gymnastic's and wear her new (handme downs from Baylee) gymnastic's outfit.

She twirled and danced to the front door.

She was really excited that her cousin Camiah is in her class.

The two of them trying to make it in the door. But, performing for my camera was just so much fun.

Braxton's new camera poses

Sometimes I will get a squinty smile.

I get this look a lot lately.

A little mischievous don't you think?

Jennica's Friends

Jennica loved playing with Gabby on Thursday. It's too bad that it was because her Mommy got in a car accident. Her poor Mommy is barely walking around now with 5 cracked ribs and a punctured lung. Were just glad it wasn't worse.

Sweet Jennica and Gabby loved playing dress ups. Wish Jennica wasn't at pre-school so they could have played longer together.

Hailey came over earlier to play with Jennica on Thursday. Hmmm. . . . . is Jennica going to be my next Baylee. Miss Social Butterfly. Luckily Braxton had William Taylor to play with that day. Neither Braxton or William would stop to get their picture taken.
